Zorlu Enerji
Zeki Zorlu started his career in Denizli Babadağ, in a family company operating in the textile industry. Zorlu, which opened its first textile store in Trabzon, laid the foundations of Korteks in Bursa in 1976. Establishing Zorlu Holding with his brother Ahmet Nazif Zorlu and incorporating Vestel in 1994, Zorlu played an important role in the establishment and acquisition of many companies in the fields of energy, tourism and real estate. In addition to being the Chairman of Zorlu Energy, Zeki Zorlu also serves as the Vice-Chairman of Zorlu Holding and Chairman of the Board of Zorlu Group companies operating in the textile and real estate sectors. Zorlu, who also takes an active role in non-governmental organizations, is the Vice President of TOBB Textile Industry Assembly.

Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS, a member of Zorlu Energy Group, is a Turkey-based independent power producer in the Turkish energy sector. It has a diversified generation portfolio of power plants located in Turkey and abroad. The total installed capacity of the Company stands at more than 1, 000 megawatts (MW). Its portfolio is comprised of hydroelectric power plants, wind farms, geothermal energy power plants and natural gas power plants in Turkey, as well as a wind farm in Pakistan and natural gas power plants in Israel. The Company operates under the following segments: Turkey, Israel and Pakistan. Its subsidiaries include: Nemrut Jeotermal Elektrik Uretimi AS, Zorlu Enerji Pakistan Ltd and Rotor Elektrik Uretim AS, among others.
