Turan Erdoğan graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of İstanbul Technical University in 1976. Following graduate studies at Brunel University in the UK in 1979, Erdoğan returned to Turkey where he did managerial jobs in various companies in the private sector. He has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the Vestel Group of Companies since 1 January 2013.
Heading TURKTRADE from 2002 to 2006, Erdoğan is the first Turkish board member to serve on DIGITALEUROPE, the largest ICT confederation in Europe. He has been serving in this post since 2010.
