Matt Fair has over 14 years of professional experience in software engineering and practice management. In 2022, they joined Zylo as a Senior Backend Software Engineer. Prior to that, they were with Tangoe from 2016 to 2021, where they held three different roles. As Lead Software Engineer, they led a team of six full stack developers through the software development lifecycle using Jira to support the Agile process. Matt also onboarded new team members with technical training on the codebase, Service Now, Jira, and Git. Additionally, they identified bottlenecks and bugs using Splunk and Rollbar to solve and improve the speed of the application. As a Software Engineer, they led and participated in the technical portion of scoping, planning, and implementing new features using Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Angular, and PostgreSQL. Matt also identified bugs and proposed solutions to resolve them. As an Associate Software Developer, they contributed to scoping, planning, and implementing new features using Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Angular, and PostgreSQL. Matt was also assigned bugs and implemented solutions to resolve them. From 2008 to 2016, Matt Fair worked for Indiana University Health. As Practice Manager, they managed 23 health care employees, lead implementation of policy updates and integration of new software, and collected and presented quality data to the team. Matt also led improvements in patient satisfaction and met all meaningful use requirements. Additionally, they held the roles of Practice Operations Specialist and Clinical Research Intern.
Matt Fair has a diverse educational background. Matt obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from DePauw University in 2008. Matt then went on to earn a Master of Health Administration from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2011. In 2015 and 2016, they attended The Iron Yard to study Ruby on Rails. Most recently, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University in 2020. In addition, Matt Fair also holds a certification in Developing Secure Software from LinkedIn, which they obtained in December 2021.
