Andrew Gottscho

Andrew Gottscho is an experienced professional in the field of bioinformatics and evolutionary biology, currently serving as a Senior Manager of Technical Communications at 10x Genomics since August 2017. Previously, Andrew held roles as a Senior Scientific Writer and Senior Applied Bioinformatics Scientist at the same company, where responsibilities included managing scientific writing teams and providing high-quality documentation for bioinformatics products. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Smithsonian Institution, focusing on lizard evolution and conservation, as well as a research associate role at San Diego State University. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology from San Diego State University, a Master’s Degree in Biology from Humboldt State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
