Brendan Shaw

Brendan Shaw is an accomplished professional in the field of communications and fundraising, currently serving as the Director of the SEIU Communications Center at 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East since August 2007. This role involves overseeing a professional contact center dedicated to member and voter outreach, mobilizing constituents and activists, and conducting survey research. Prior to this position, Brendan worked as the Regional Director at Telefund, Inc. from January 1999 to July 2007, leading initiatives in the fundraising industry for progressive non-profit organizations. Brendan earned a B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara and additionally pursued education at LaGuardia Community College between 2016 and 2017.
