Al Bonowitz

Al Bonowitz has extensive experience in editorial roles, currently serving as Editor In Chief at Auto Club of Southern California since May 2007. Bonowitz led AAA Hawaii as EIC from late 2008 to August 2020 and managed the Northern New England Journey magazine from late 2015 through 2020. Prior experience includes work as Features Copy Editor at The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, where story selection, editing, and page layout were key responsibilities, and Travel Editor at Santa Barbara News-Press, where award-winning travel sections were edited and designed. Additionally, Bonowitz served as Stadium Operations Manager for the South Bend Silver Hawks from 1993 to 1995. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Kent State University and a Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.
