Paul Colussi

Paul Colussi is an accomplished biochemist with extensive experience in protein expression and drug discovery. Currently serving as Site Head and Vice President of Complex Membrane Protein Technologies at AbCellera since July 2008, Paul has expanded responsibilities that include overseeing the identification of monoclonal antibodies and contributing to the drug discovery process. Previously, Paul held the position of Director of Protein Expression at TetraGenetics, where significant advancements in therapeutic biologics were made. Prior to that, Paul was a Research Scientist II at New England Biolabs, focusing on the yeast Kluyveromyces lactis for protein expression, achieving commercialization of related technology. Paul's early career included a role as a Research Officer at the Institute of Veterinary and Medical Science, leading to multiple publications in the field. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BSc Hons in Biochemistry/Pharmacology from the University of Sydney.
