Matthew Davis

Matthew Davis has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2010, they worked as an intern in the L.J. Roberts Alzheimer's research lab at the Sun Health Research Institute. In 2011, they participated in the Keep Engaging Youth In Science Research Internship, where they worked in Dr. Yitshak Zohar's MEMS and Bio-MEMS lab, conducting groundbreaking research on silica micro particle functionalization.

In 2012, Matthew worked as a KEYS Crew member at the BIO5 Institute, mentoring student interns and facilitating their learning of lab techniques and skills. Matthew also served as a Programming Research Assistant at the University of Arizona, where they created a model in Fortran to mimic real-life experiments involving calcium handling and diffusion between groups of cells.

Matthew continued their research work as a Research Assistant in the Romanowski Lab at the University of Arizona from 2013 to 2014. Matthew re-engineered and redesigned laboratory equipment to meet new experimental requirements and developed novel techniques for drug delivery via magnetic liposomes.

From 2013 to 2015, Matthew held the role of KEYS Crew Assistant Manager at the BIO5 Institute, leading Crew members in facilitating interns' learning and organizing activities for their development.

In 2015, Matthew joined Epic as an OpTime Technical Services (Customer Support Engineer), where they certified in OpTime and Anesthesia and led meetings with customer analyst teams responsible for operating room management software.

Starting in 2019, Matthew transitioned their career into software engineering roles. Matthew worked as a QA Engineer at Abrigo before becoming a Software Engineer in Test, where they created a framework for transitioning automated test suites. Matthew then progressed to the role of Software Engineer I, where they worked on C# and JS development in a monolithic application. Later, as a Software Engineer II, they developed integrations for pulling automotive data into the Sageworks platform and published Abrigo's first application to the Salesforce App Exchange.

Matthew's most recent role at Abrigo is as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead. Matthew has been the lead developer on an identity provider platform and implemented a GraphQL API, simplifying business logic and cross-service communication.

Overall, Matthew has a strong background in research and has transitioned into software engineering, specializing in test automation and backend development.

Matthew Davis attended the University of Arizona from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering. Matthew also completed minors in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. From 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Professional Capstone Certificate Program in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
