Mpp Candiss Shumate

Candiss Shumate, MPP, PMP, is an experienced project manager currently serving at Access Community Health Network since April 2023. Previously, Candiss held various roles at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) from January 2018 to April 2023, including Project Manager for Field Activities and Executive Assistant and Survey Administrator. Other notable experiences include serving as an Administrative and Project Assistant at the Irwin W. Steans Center for Community-based Service Learning, and undertaking a Policy and Government Affairs Internship at Illinois Partners for Human Service. Candiss also worked as an ESL Teacher in South Korea and as a Community Impact Americorps Member at United Way of Lake County. Candiss holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from DePaul University School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
