Texas Regional Bank
Ryan Newman, CIC, serves as the President of the Insurance Division at Texas Regional Bank since June 2022. Previously, Ryan held the position of Area Senior Vice President at Gallagher from April 2017 to June 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing the South Texas branch's operations, sales, and nurturing relationships with carriers, clients, and employees. Ryan began an insurance career in April 2000 at Texas Insurance Managers, eventually becoming Executive Vice President and serving until April 2017. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from Hardin-Simmons University.

The idea for Texas Regional Bank emerged in 2008 when four businessmen recognized the community banking void in their local region caused by the consolidation of privately-held community and regional banks. Over the years, locally-owned banks had decreased, reducing the banking choices in many parts of Texas.
