Lynne Atkin Mbe

Lynne Atkin MBE is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human resources and corporate governance. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director and Remuneration Committee Chair at West Brom Building Society since May 2025, Lynne also holds the position of Board Trustee at Action for Children since January 2022. Previously, Lynne was the HR Director for Barclays UK and Group Head of Learning, overseeing a significant HR team supporting 25 million customers and 30,000 colleagues. Additional roles include Vice Chair of the Women’s Business Council, Non Executive Director at Vaultex UK Ltd, and HR Director positions at Aviva and npower. Educational credentials include completion of senior leadership and business strategy programmes from prestigious institutions such as Stanford and Harvard.
