Susan Stella

Head, Investor Relations & ESG at Activate Capital

Susan has more than 15 years of experience working with established and emerging venture funds, as well as industry associations.

For nearly four years, Susan was principal and director with Knightsbridge Advisers, a venture capital fund of funds, where she was responsible for investor relations and marketing efforts. She also served as the Director of the Thunderbird Global Private Equity Center (TPEC), a thought-leadership platform developed by the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and was co-founder and partner at Venture Archetypes, a San Francisco-based strategic advisory firm that worked with emerging technology and life science companies. Susan has held strategic marketing advisory and/or consulting roles with GroveStreet, ILPA, The American Investment Council, and others.

Her background also includes professional assignments with Intel; the German Ministry of Economics and Labor; Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Germany as a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow; and the United Nations, as part of a three-year stint living and working in Mongolia.

Susan holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management where she received the highest honor awarded to a single graduate, the Barton Kyle Yount Award. She also holds a BA, with honors, from Drake University.
