Dakota Michael

Dakota Michael is a software engineer who currently works for Activate Care. Prior to this, they worked for Premier Packaging, LLC from November 2020 to December 2021 as a software engineer. They also worked for Symplexity from February 2019 to April 2020 as a software engineer. Their responsibilities included working with PM and clients to craft custom software solutions for business needs following clean-code principles in order to iterate quickly, building several custom full-stack headless front-ends in React.js using JavaScript to manage routing, UI, styling, etc. and back-end APIs in Ruby on Rails to feed data from a variety of sources, integrating 3rd party styling/charting libraries (Ruby & JS), and integrating various data sources from client devices and monitoring tools into our pipeline using Ruby on Rails, Apache Airflow, and stored in several PostgreSQL servers and databases. They also set up several monitoring and alert systems as well using the data.

Dakota Michael has a Nanodegree in Data Engineer from Udacity, and is also certified as a Full Stack Web Developer from the same school. Dakota holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Hillsdale College, where they concentrated in English, German, and Music. Additionally, they are certified from the Hellenic Red Cross - Samaritans, Rescuers and Lifeguards Sector in Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
