Ricardo Kawase

Ricardo Kawase has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ricardo is currently the Team Lead for Data Science and Engineering in Trust and Safety at Adevinta's mobile.de. Prior to this role, they held various positions at eBay's mobile.de, including Team Lead for Data Science and Engineering in Trust and Safety, Team Lead for Data Science and Engineering in New Business, Data Scientist, and Data Analyst. Before their time at eBay, Kawase worked as a WebScience Researcher and PhD Candidate at L3S Research Center, focusing on areas such as Web Annotation, Recommendations, Semantic Web, Intelligent User Interfaces, and Crowdsourcing. Ricardo also served as a Managing Partner at Thera Solutions and worked as a Software Engineer at Lumis, and as a Trainee at Logical Systems.

Ricardo Kawase obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Gottfried Leibniz Universität Hannover during the period of 2011-2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from 2003-2005. At the same institution, they completed their undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering from 1999-2003.
