Manuel Rivaya

Manuel Rivaya is Senior Vice President, Urban Transportation Systems. He is responsible for leading Aecon’s centre of excellence for the overall delivery of integrated urban transportation systems. Mr. Rivaya has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering and construction management in Canada and internationally. Prior to joining Aecon, over a span of nine years at Dragados Canada, he served as Executive Vice President before becoming Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he held progressively senior roles at Dragados S.A. in Spain, including Civil Works District Manager in Cataluña, with responsibility for civil works in the region.

Mr. Rivaya is a member of the Spanish Association of Civil Engineers and is a past Board Member of MRDC Corporation in New Brunswick. He holds a Master of Civil Engineering degree with a specialty in Hydraulic and Energetic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
