John Williams

John Williams is an experienced leader in the field of low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia advisory services. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Hydrogen at AFRY since April 2022, John manages global advisory services and provides guidance on strategy, investments, and business cases within the low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia value chains. Prior to this role, John held positions at AFRY Management Consulting as Head of Hydrogen Expertise Cluster and Senior Principal, where efforts focused on decarbonizing the energy sector. John's extensive experience also includes a tenure at Pöyry Management Consulting as Senior Principal, leading initiatives in decarbonisation of natural gas and hydrogen. Earlier in his career, John worked as a Commercial Manager at Centrica and Shell, overseeing gas transportation arrangements, and began as a Customer Service Manager at ANGI Limited. John holds an MSc (Econ) in Strategic Studies and International Politics from Aberystwyth University.
