Peter Plug

Peter Plug serves as the Vice President and Global Head of Renewable Energy at AFRY since January 2018, where a global renewable energy strategy was devised, resulting in an 18% increase in top-line revenue and the successful acquisition of several companies to enhance profitability. Previously, Peter held positions such as Chief Executive Officer at Mercados-Aries International, where corporate renewal efforts achieved profitability within two years, and Interim Managing Director at Kansspelautoriteit, where responsibilities included overseeing gambling policy in the Netherlands. Other notable experience includes directing the Office of Energy Regulation at The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, where consumer rights protection was prioritized. Peter's educational background includes a Master’s in Political Science and Government from Syracuse University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Leiden University.
