Ruben de Bruycker

Ruben De Bruycker is a seasoned professional specializing in innovation and business development within the hydrogen and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Innovation & Strategy Manager for Hydrogen at Agfa, since February 2022, Ruben is engaged in developing the strategic roadmap for ZIRFON, the company's separators for alkaline water electrolyzers, and previously held the role of Business Development Manager focusing on hydrogen and membrane initiatives. Prior to Agfa, Ruben worked at Bekaert as the Innovation & Business Development Manager, where responsibilities included exploring new applications for metal fibers, particularly in energy transition technologies such as water electrolysis and lithium-ion batteries. Ruben also has experience as an R&D Project Manager, leading global teams on product and process development. An academic background includes a PhD and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ghent University, along with a Postgraduate Degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence from HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen.
