Anthony V. Longobardo

Anthony V. Longobardo is an accomplished professional in the field of material science and technology, currently serving as the Director of Material Science and Technology at AGY since January 2007. In this role, Anthony directs laboratory activities, focusing on Glass Technology and Composites Technology, while leading various development projects. Previously, Anthony held positions at Guardian Industries, where responsibilities included being a Senior Staff Scientist and Managing Glass Scientist, managing both development and manufacturing operations, and establishing the company's first analytical laboratory. Anthony began their career at PPG Industries as a Senior Scientist in Glass R&D and contributed to academic research as a Visiting Researcher at Hoya. Anthony earned a Ph.D. in Ceramics (Glass Science & Engineering) from Alfred University, where other degrees in Ceramic Engineering were also obtained.
