Zulfiqar Ali

Zulfiqar Ali, FCA, currently serves as the Head of the Risk Management Department at ahlibank since February 2019, where responsibilities include highlighting risks to management, implementing financial models in line with Basel III, and leading a team of 10-15 members. Prior to this role, Zulfiqar accumulated extensive experience as a Senior Manager at KPMG Lower Gulf from November 2012 to November 2018, auditing a diverse range of sectors and advising on international bonds, derivative accounting, and risk management frameworks. Earlier career positions included various roles at KPMG in Pakistan and the UK, contributing to audits, internal controls, and financial advisory services. Zulfiqar is a Fellow Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, with foundational education in accountancy from St Patrick's and St Peters High Schools.
