Natalia Wallenberg

Natalia Wallenberg will serve as Chief Human Resources Officer at Ahold Delhaize from January 2022. Natalia is an experienced international HR leader with a strong track record in developing and implementing effective strategies, leadership and culture development, organization transformation and talent management.

Natalia has an unusually broad mix of experience across several industries – agriculture, financial services and real estate – and has lived and worked in various countries including the United States, Switzerland, Russia, Belarus, UAE and now, the Netherlands.

Before joining Ahold Delhaize, Natalia worked at Syngenta Group, a global agricultural technology business, as the Global Head of HR in various business functions across eight years. Here she led organizational transformation and implemented people strategy to enable rapid performance turnaround. Before the Syngenta Groop, Natalia worked at Renaissance Capital, an investment bank, from 2008-2013 in several roles including VP Global HR Business Partner, VP Head of Talent Acquisition and Director, Head Global HR Business Partner.

From 2005-2007, she served as the HR Team Leader at Ikea Real Estate where she provided HR advice and support in rapid company growth, leadership change, recruitment, talent management, reward and benefits. Before IKEA she served at her family's business, Tornado, which specialized in import, distribution, and wholesale of food products in Belarus. Here she established an HR function from scratch to support the business's rapid growth. In addition to Natalia's extensive HR experience, she enjoys coaching and advising senior executives, partnering in developing people strategies that enhance performance, culture, innovation and deliver results. She's also passionate about building a strong, customer-centric HR function that creates value and helps people and organizations thrive.

Natalia is Belarussian and holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the International Academy of Information Technologies in Belarus, and an MA in Counselling jointly granted from the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences in Russia and the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
