AIDA International
The International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA) was founded in 1992 “by Freedivers, For Freedivers”, to organize the worldwide community and gain recognition for the emerging sport of freediving. As the symbol of freediving, AIDA has developed a core set of values to guide the sport as it evolves in a rapidly growing market: •Safety - through ongoing research, standardisation, and education. •Fairness - lead by consistent evaluation of all athletic performances in the international competition circuit and followed at all the levels of the organisation. •Accessibility - through its structure of National representatives that ensure proximity and affordability in all corners of the world.
