AIMA
Drew Nicol joined AIMA in May 2021 as an Associate Director in the Research and Communications team, based in London. In this role he contributes to shaping, writing and editing the association’s original research and thought leadership, as well as working with members and external stakeholders on collaborative projects. As part of his communications capacity, Drew liaises with a wide range of media outlets across the global trade and business press, including broadcast and print.
Prior to joining AIMA, Drew was editor of Securities Finance Times, covering global securities lending, repo, and short selling markets, including regulatory, technology and policy trends. He has spent just under a decade as a journalist covering global financial markets in various roles.
Drew holds a BA in History from the University of East Anglia and is a Gold Standard-accredited journalist by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
