Daiwei Wang is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in hydrometeorology and climate science. Currently serving as Principal Scientist and Senior Manager at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions since August 2015, Daiwei leads the hydrometeorology team. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Northeastern University, focusing on the effects of climate change on coastal environments, and various postdoctoral and research positions at MIT and Columbia University, where Daiwei conducted significant studies on ocean circulation and climate model data. Educational qualifications consist of a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Columbia University, complemented by an MS in Meteorology and a BS in Atmospheric Physics and Environment from Nanjing University.
