Xing Zheng is a Senior Scientist at Verisk - extreme event solutions since January 2020, responsible for the hazard component of the AIR Inland Flood Model and conducting innovative research to enhance flood models. Prior to this, Xing worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2015 to August 2019, focusing on flood mapping, inundation mapping, flood impact evaluation, flood frequency analysis, and establishing a streaming data system. Xing also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from January 2014 to May 2015. Xing holds a PhD in Civil Engineering, an MS in Environmental Engineering, and a BS in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering.
