Hager Radi Abdelwahed

Hager Radi Abdelwahed is currently a Senior Applied Research Scientist at Mila - Institut québécois d'intelligence artificielle, contributing to the Applied Machine Learning Research Team since August 2022. Formerly, Hager served as a Scientist-in-Residence at Next AI, advising the 2022 cohort of NextAI-Montreal ventures, and completed a research internship at Mila focusing on Reinforcement Learning and Sim2Real Transfer. Hager holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Alberta, where experience included working as a Graduate Research Assistant on Offline Reinforcement Learning, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for multiple machine learning courses. Previous roles also include Computer Vision Research Engineer at Affectiva and ML Algorithms Engineer at Valeo, specializing in deep learning algorithms for autonomous driving. Hager began the academic journey as an undergraduate teaching assistant at The American University in Cairo, where a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering was obtained.
