Frank Tang Ting

General Manager, AirAsia China at AirAsia

Frank is responsible for ground operations, regulatory affairs, government relations, and business development in China market.

Frank joined AirAsia as Duty Executive in 2008 and led the team to set up the Guangzhou station. Shortly after a successful inauguration of the Guangzhou station, he got promoted to Station Manager. In the following years, in addition to managing AirAsia’s largest station in China, he continued to lead AirAsia’s expansion, set up Shantou Station and supported the establishment of Kunming Station, Nanning Station and Xi’an Station, etc.

In 2017 Frank was appointed Head of China Ground Operation, overseeing all AirAsia stations across China to ensure smooth operation, safety compliance and guest services of more than 400 weekly flights. During his tenure in this role, he extended AirAsia’s footprints to another eight new stations in China, totaling 20 stations. He was also an advocate for digitalisation of China ground operations. He launched our first self-handle station in China and installed self check-in kiosk at eight stations.

Over the past 14 years, Frank has been a true embracer of AirAsia values. He was one of the winners of AirAsia’s inaugural Allstar Values Ambassador Awards in 2019, which recognizes those who work hard behind the scenes, making miracles happen every day.
