Designation:  Assistant Manager – Accounts

Department: Finance

Reporting to: Manager – Finance

The incumbent will be responsible for the Accounts function including Accounts Receivable & Payables, to meet the financial and statutory reporting requirements and provide management with the financial results and analysis. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Overall responsibility for reviewing the Books of Account during month end closures and preparing analytical reviews

• Managing account payables and receivables

• Build & maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

• Build up processes & templates for the department

• Consolidate monthly/quarterly updates on revenue, expense, outstanding, cash flow, billing etc

• Work on budgeting & forecasting and the implementation of budgets

• End to End responsible Direct, Indirect taxation & Payroll Taxes

• GST filings, proper deduction and timely deposit of TDS along with Return filings

• Foreign Remittances: Preparation of 15 CA/CB. ROC related work with yearly return

• Verify bills received from Contracts/ vendors/ suppliers w.r.t signed agreements, P.O terms, statutory compliances etc;

• Maintain Banking Relations; Overseeing petty cash MIS and Reconciliations

• Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices

• Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts & reviews financial statements, reports & market trends

• Scrutinizes booking of entries related to payments, revenue, all expenses etc; ensure real time updating of Books of accounts, accuracy, and assignment under right heads

• Prepare P&L statements and Monthly / Quarterly closing; consolidate Accounts and complete Quarterly / half yearly/ annual book closing activities

• Interacts with internal and external auditors for documentation submission requirements, ensuring Audit closures

• Work closely with accounting team to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals

Desired Candidate

• Qualified CA with minimum 1+ years

• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization

• Excellent Communication Skills & creative problem-solving skills including negotiation

• Strong financial and risk analysis experience

• Should be well versed with Foreign Payments

• Exposure to Singapore taxation will be an added advantage

• An extensive understanding of US GAAP & IFRS

• Expertise in Excel & Accounting Software - QuickBooks

• Ability to simplify financial processes and reports

• Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail; Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented

• Self-starter with a proactive approach who loves to work in Startups.
