Satyajit Mitra

Satyajit Mitra is an accomplished professional in oncology research, currently serving as the Executive Director and Head of Oncology at Akari Therapeutics, Plc since November 2024. Prior to this role, Satyajit held similar positions at Peak Bio Inc. where responsibilities included oversight of the ADC pipeline and leading in vivo research activities. With extensive experience in cancer biology, Satyajit has contributed to significant advancements, including the identification of prognostic signatures for neuroblastoma at the University of Southern California and performing IND-enabling studies for therapeutic proteins at VasGene Therapeutics. Satyajit's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Master’s in Biotechnology from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
