Kent Aspnes has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Kent started their career as a Summer Intern at Norsk Hydro in 2006. Kent then joined Statoil in 2007, where they held various roles including Completion Engineer, Sr. Completion Engineer, Sr. Well Integrity Engineer, Lead Engineer Well Integrity, and QA/QC responsible Well Integrity. In 2013, they worked as a Lecturer at Exsto Holding, Offshoreutdanning. In 2019, they joined Equinor as a Drilling Supervisor, and they are currently working at Aker BP ASA as a Project Lead.

Kent Aspnes received their Master of Science (MSc) in Petroleumteknikk from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 2002 and 2007.
