Barry Smallwood is the Group President of Akima’s Emerging Markets Group, a portfolio of companies providing cutting-edge IT services, technology solutions and application development in support of the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and federal civilian government customers.
Prior to joining Akima, Barry spent over twelve years at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, where he led the Office of Special Intelligence System Engineering and Development unit before being promoted to Associate Deputy Assistant Administrator (Chief of Operations, Engineering and Development of the Office of Information Systems).
