Zachary Bent

Zachary Bent is a seasoned professional in product development and biotechnology, currently serving as Senior Director of Product Development at Alamar Biosciences, Inc. since June 2025, where responsibilities include developing leading proteomics products and scaling processes for company growth. Prior to this role, Zachary was with 10X Genomics for over a decade, advancing from Senior Scientist to Senior Director of New Product Development, leading a team that generated significant revenue and established cost-saving innovations. Notable achievements include the successful launch of multiple products and the generation of numerous patents. Zachary's experience also encompasses roles at Sandia National Laboratories and academic research at UC Davis and Cornell University, where significant contributions were made in microbiology and systems biology, including novel pathogen capture techniques and Yersinia enterocolitica studies. Zachary holds a PhD in Microbiology from UC Davis and a BA from Cornell University.
