Albany High School is a high-performing public school located in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the only comprehensive secondary school with the Albany Unified School District and has approximately 1150 students in grades 9 through 12. It is known for its strong academics and ongoing community support for unique arts, CTE and STEM programs. Ideally situated next to UC Berkeley and proud home of the university’s family housing, Albany is an urban residential town with a diverse and educated population. Our student body is comprised of about 16% Hispanic/Latinx, 32% White, 27% Asian, 4% African-American, and 16% multi-ethnic students. We have 6% English Learners and 34% fluent-English proficient students. At least 23% of students qualify for the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program. The graduation rate for recent cohorts is around 95%. The teaching faculty includes 66 classroom teachers, two-thirds of whom hold graduate degrees.
