Erik Carlson

Erik Carlson is an experienced professional in environmental management and permitting, currently serving as Senior Manager Environmental and Permitting at Albemarle Corporation since August 2023. Prior to this role, Erik held the position of Associate Partner at ERM: Environmental Resources Management from April 2022 to August 2023 and was Manager of Environment and Sustainability at Twin Metals Minnesota LLC from September 2018 to March 2022. Erik's background includes significant roles at ERM as Senior Project Manager and at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency as Metallic Mining Sector Supervisor. Erik also served as Principal Planner for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and as Senior Planner for the City of Minneapolis. Erik holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Planning, Public Policy, and Management from the University of Oregon.
