Steve Hayes

Steve Hayes is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in mineral exploration and project development. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Geology - Strategy and Business Development at Alcoa since September 2018, Steve also manages exploration projects through Hayes Geological and Chandler Macleod. Previous roles include Geology Manager for the Honeymoon Well Nickel Project at Norilsk Nickel and Senior Geoscientist positions at Intrepid Mines Limited and BHP Billiton, focusing on copper, gold, and other minerals across various regions. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Petrology/Geochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Queensland University of Technology.
