Barry Kluener began their work experience in 1980 as a Maintenance employee at Kluener Packing Co. After working there for three years, they transitioned to Frey Electric in 1983, where they worked as an Electrician until 1986. In 1992, they joined Alexander & Associates as a Vice President, a role they continue to hold.
