James Baas has extensive experience in the manufacturing and construction industries, holding various positions since 1982. Currently a Drafting & Extrusion Design Specialist at Alexandria Industries/Alexandria Extrusion Company since 1994, James specializes in reviewing customer prints for extrusion feasibility, creating models in SolidWorks, and generating profile prints. Previous roles included Estimator/Customer Service/Process Technician in a Quick Response Office Cell and Leadman overseeing extrusion press operations. Earlier in their career, James worked as a Cabinet Builder at Swedberg Wood Products and as a Carpenter at Baas Construction, where responsibilities included custom cabinetry, remodeling, and various construction projects. James holds an Associate degree in Arts from Fergus Falls Community College and has participated in Leadership Alexandria.
