Steve Hakes

Steve Hakes is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in project management and engineering design, currently serving as Structural Group Manager and Project Manager at Benesch since July 2019. Previously, Steve held the role of Project Manager at San Engineering LLC, overseeing engineering and production for various municipal projects, and contributing to marketing efforts. Steve's background includes designing bridges and transportation structures at Horrocks Engineers and Parsons, where significant accomplishments included the first seismically operational bridge in Utah. With a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Master's in Engineering Management & Structural Engineering from the University of Utah, notable projects include the $2 billion RTD FasTracks Eagle P3 Commuter Rail and the Missile Drive Bridge.
