Vaughan Grootboom

Vaughan Grootboom is an experienced actuarial professional currently serving as an Actuarial Analyst at Discovery Limited since March 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Actuarial Assistant Manager at EY from January 2021 to February 2024, focusing on IFRS 17 transition audits and ORSA, and involvement in the Actuarial Learning and Development team. Vaughan also held positions at EY as Actuarial Senior Associate and Actuarial Associate, contributing to various IFRS and SAM audits and gaining skills in data analysis, model building, and programming. Additionally, Vaughan has been a Candidate Fellow at the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation since January 2017, aimed at fostering responsible entrepreneurship among young innovators. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science and a BSc in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, both obtained from the University of Pretoria.
