Joe Fenimore is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in firmware and embedded software development, spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Lead Firmware Engineer at Allegion, PLC since June 2018, Joe focuses on new product development, particularly for electronic locks such as the Schlage Encode Wi-Fi smart lock. Prior to this role, Joe worked at Trilithic for 16 years as an Embedded Software Engineer, specializing in cable television distribution testing instruments. Joe's background includes significant contributions at Escient OpenGlobe as a Senior Software Engineer developing internet-connected entertainment products, and earlier positions at UMM Electronics, Avalon Technology Corporation, Labsonics, and Wincon, where expertise in medical device firmware and diagnostic systems was honed. Joe's educational foundation includes a BS in Math & Computer Science from Ball State University and graduate studies in Electrical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
