Kevin Kim

Kevin Kim is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as Senior Director of R&D at Allegro MicroSystems since January 2022, Kevin leads teams focused on BiCMOS, DMOS, Magnetoresistance, and Photonic devices for various applications including Automotive and Renewable Energy. Prior to this role, Kevin held the position of Technical Director of R&D at NXP Semiconductors, where responsibilities included overseeing technology development for LDMOS and GaN transistors in 4G/5G RF infrastructure. Earlier experience includes Senior Manager of R&D for RFIC at Infineon Technologies, where the focus was on RF power amplifier devices, and a distinguished tenure at Motorola Solutions as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, leading cell basestation power amplifier product development. Kevin's academic achievements include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and advanced degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
