Leon Friedrich is an accomplished educator and sports professional with extensive experience in sports management, business, marketing, and journalism. Currently serving as a Sports Management, Business, Marketing, and Journalism Instructor at Wakeland High School within Frisco ISD since July 2014, Leon oversees various programs such as the FISD Sports Management Internship Program and courses in Esports and Athletic Event Administration. In addition to teaching, Leon fulfills roles as an Off-Ice Official for the Allen Americans Professional Hockey Club and has held various positions in technology education and sports operations across multiple school districts and professional organizations. Leon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.

The Allen Americans Professional Hockey Club is the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Ottawa Senators. Founded in 2009, the club is owned by Myles and LaSonjia Jack. Championship Hockey is the backbone of the franchise, with the "Red" having captured back-to-back ECHL Kelly Cup Championships in 2014-15 & 2015-16, and two Central Hockey League President’s Cups in 2012-13 & 2013-14. Americans home games are played at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. Tickets for home games are available at AllenAmericans.com/tickets or by calling 972-912-1000.
