Christian Mugele

Christian Mugele is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in underwriting, data analytics, and team leadership within the insurance sector. Currently serving as the Head of Underwriting and Portfolio Solutions at Allianz since August 2020, Christian leads a team focused on product ownership and data analytics. Previously, Christian held the role of Data Solutions Lead at Allianz, scaling AI-driven underwriting solutions and enhancing data processing capabilities through NLP. Christian's prior experience at Munich Re included senior leadership roles in underwriting and data solutions, where significant initiatives in analytics strategy and BI solutions were developed. Christian's academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
