Derick Rhoton

Derick Rhoton serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Business and Communications at Brigham Young University - Idaho since 2008, focusing on student success. Additionally, Rhoton is a member of the Board of Directors at Allucent since June 2019. Previous experience includes positions as Tax Director at World Airways from 2005 to 2008, where responsibilities included mergers and acquisitions, IRS audit defense, and SEC filings. Prior roles also encompass Corporate Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer at Interland, Inc. from 2000 to 2005, with duties in treasury, investment, and tax compliance; Tax Director at Weyerhaeuser (1997-2000) managing international and federal tax filings; and Tax Manager at KPMG US (1992-1997), specializing in corporate international tax. Rhoton holds a Master’s of Tax and a Master’s of Accountancy with a focus on Taxation from Brigham Young University, completed in 1992.
