Shaimaa Fathy Tawfik

Shaimaa Fathy Tawfik has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and research and development within the food and beverage industry. Currently serving as the Director of Export Development at Almarai since August 2016, Shaimaa also holds the position of Director of R&D and New Businesses at Beyti, a joint venture of Almarai and Pepsico, since November 2017. In these roles, responsibilities include leading regulatory affairs for Egypt and Africa, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and overseeing product and packaging development across various brands. Previous experience includes significant roles at Mondelēz International, where Shaimaa led regulatory affairs for the chocolate category in the MENA region. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Science in Food Science and Technology from Cairo University and training in International Relations and Leadership from the University of California, Davis.
