Tom Mitchell

Tom Mitchell serves as the Global Corporate Tax Director at Alstom since June 2015, overseeing tax policy, governance, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and cash tax optimisation for operations in 70 countries. Previously, Tom held various tax management roles within the company, including Head of Group Tax Cash & Risk Management and Tax Director for the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe. Tom's earlier experience includes a position as Tax Manager at Grant Thornton UK LLP and as UK Tax Manager at Alstom, managing comprehensive tax compliance and reporting responsibilities. Tom commenced the career at Deloitte UK, where roles ranged from Corporate Tax Manager to Tax Depreciation Specialist, gaining extensive experience in corporation tax and capital allowance claims. Tom's educational background includes qualifications from CIOT and ICAEW, and a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham.
