Sara Bates

Sara Bates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in entrepreneurship and data science. Currently serving as Co-Founder of Althea, PBC, Sara is focused on developing shared software infrastructure for regulated psychedelic programs. Previously, as Co-Founder and CEO of MamaMend, Sara pioneered personalized, evidence-based solutions for childbirth recovery and postpartum health. Sara held the position of Chief Financial Officer at The Sweet Spot before co-founding Bates Analytics Inc., where expertise in data science was leveraged to advise startups and corporations on strategy, and develop machine learning models. Earlier career experiences include working as a Foreign Exchange Sales Specialist at Wells Fargo Bank and a Fixed Income Co-Op at Susquehanna International Group. Sara holds a BS in Operations Research & Information Engineering from Cornell University and an MS in Information Systems from Northwestern University.
