Katie Lucas

Katie Lucas is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and academic support. Currently serving as an English Teacher at Alvin ISD since June 2020, Katie previously held positions at Alvin Community College as an Adjunct Instructor, Academic Coach, and Writing Tutor, where responsibilities included teaching remedial reading and writing classes. Earlier roles include English II Teacher at Fort Bend ISD and English III Instructor at Pearland ISD, focusing on curriculum design, student assessment, and collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, experience as an English I Pre-AP Instructor and Bookseller at Barnes and Noble provided foundational customer service and communication skills. Katie holds a School Administrator Certification in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
