Christina Leah Kline

Christina Leah Kline has a diverse work experience in the field of cancer research and administration. Christina Leah has held various positions at different organizations, starting with their current role as the Associate Director of Scientific Reviews and Grants Administration at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) since April 2023. In this role, they organize peer review of research applications and provides comprehensive grant and award management support.

Before their current position, Christina worked as the Assistant Director of Scientific Reviews and Grants Administration at AACR from October 2019 to March 2023, where they also played a key role in organizing peer review processes and supporting applicants and grantees.

Prior to joining AACR, they worked as a Senior Scientific Program Administrator from August 2017 to October 2019. During this time, Christina contributed to the coordination and management of scientific programs.

Before their roles at AACR, Christina worked as a Research Associate at Fox Chase Cancer Center from November 2014 to July 2017. Here, they undertook translational research on the mechanism of a novel chemotherapeutic and participated in clinical studies.

Christina's work experience also includes a position as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Penn State University from December 2011 to October 2014, where they conducted research in their field of expertise.

Christina Leah began their career as a Research Support Assistant at Penn State College of Medicine in January 2008, where they conducted and published research on the role of an oncogene and tumor suppressor in colon cancer progression and metastasis. Christina Leah also served as a Senior Research Technician at the same institution from May 2005 to December 2007, collaborating with graduate students and research investigators in testing novel chemotherapeutics for colon and breast cancer.

Christina's earlier experience includes working at the Philippine Coconut Research and Development Foundation as a Technical Supervisor from January 1997 to June 2000, and as a Technical Assistant from July 1992 to December 1996.

Christina Leah Kline pursued their education in the field of biosciences. Christina Leah obtained a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines in 1992. Christina Leah then continued their studies at Penn State University, where they earned a Master's Degree in Integrative Biosciences in 2006. Christina Leah further advanced their education at Penn State University by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Integrative Biosciences in 2011.
