Mr. Johnson was named Assistant GM of the Houston office in January of 2022. He started with AMS in 2011 as a Project Manager/Estimator working on some of the office’s largest accounts. Mr. Johnson’s career began as an test and development engineer in the auto industry working on engine components. He moved to power generation then eventually worked for a general contractor. In his role at the general contractor, Mr. Johnson became acquainted with AMS and eventually took an open position with AMS of Houston. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master’s Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Engineering Science (Management of Technology). He also holds a State of Texas Class “A” mechanical license with endorsements for both comfort cooling and refrigeration. Mr. Johnson is married with two teen children that keep him busy going to all their sporting events.

AMS is one of the nation’s leading providers of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance, repair, replacement, and new equipment installation. AMS began in 1997, when American Residential Services (ARS) purchased approximately 25 independent contractors and consolidated them to create a commercial HVAC arm. The newly acquired contractors were already well established companies with years of experience in the HVAC industry.
